Crafting for a Cause: Operation Sock Monkey – with Adrienne Lawlor
In this rewarding session, you will build the perfect companion for anyone who needs a lift! Work together with your daughter to build the classic sock monkey, step-by-step, celebrating the simplicity and imperfections of a handmade project. Operation Sock Monkey is a non-profit organization that sends sock monkeys to African children who have been affected by HIV/AIDS. You may choose to donate your little monkey to this worthy cause, or to any child who needs a smile. Take home the instructions to make love monkeys at Valentine's Day, and all year long!
To bring: One pair of medium length, large size, cotton socks. Whether you bring argyle, polka-dotted or striped socks, your monkey is sure to spread joy with a personality all its own!
Zumba, Ditch the Routine, Join the Party! – Instructor TBA
Zumba ® is a Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class combining fast and slow rhythms with cardio and muscle-toning benefits. Dance to Meringue, Salsa, Cumbia, Reggaeton, Hip Hop and more. Dancers & non-dancers alike immediately and easily master a Zumba class. It’s fun! Let loose, rock out, have a blast!
Personalized Framed Monogram – with Christy Fillmore
This Framed Monogram is a paper craft collage using the first letter of your name. Mom's will assist their daughters in assembling their projects. Make it as simple or creative as you can imagine. Choose from a variety of papers, stickers, stamps and embellishments and put your own flare on a project you'll love to share with your friends!
Cake Pops – with Christy Fillmore
Celebrating a special occasion soon? Planning on making cake? Maybe cupcakes? Why not try something similar and yet completely different! Cake pops are the newest trend in treats for all kinds of affairs. Learn to specialize these yummy desserts on a stick for whatever it is you are throwing a bash for, or have the perfect gift to give your friends and family. Cake pops can be made into the cutest of little animals from chicks to sheep, and as simple and easy as smiley faces and basketballs. Come learn how to design and make your own, and be prepared to make a ton of them when you get back home... they disappear fast!
Campfire Sing Along - TBA
Come enjoy the camaraderie of our last night together with a real campfire sing along. Lyrics provided to belt out the tunes or just tap those toes to the rhythm of the guitar as you become mesmerized by the dancing flames!
