Synergy – with Adele Folliott
Awaken your mind, body and spirit… take this opportunity to re-connect with that inner body wisdom, now that the hectic pace of life is fading away…
This morning 45 - minute session incorporates light stretching while holding gentle poses. Find that centre balance by tapping into your core strength and flexibility… leave feeling refreshed & energized for the next part of your adventure.
Mindfulness – with Adrienne Lawlor
Not just for yoginis - and as simple as taking a breath!
John Lennon said "Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans". Join Adrienne in exploring simple ways to calm your mind, creating a rejuvenating oasis amidst our hectic and stimulating world. Learn how to "show up" for your life, becoming increasingly present to the rich gifts of each moment. Leaving worries related to the past or plans for the future behind, this session promises to reward you in unexpected ways, without expectations to contort your body or even work up a sweat!
Nia Dance – with Jo-Ann Rutherford
Nia presents a philosophy of exercise that allows you to connect to your body,your heart, and your spirit. Nia’s barefoot, grounded approach maximizes body efficiency and empowers you to move with awareness, in a gentler, yet invigorating way. Using movement forms of dance arts, martial arts and healing arts Jo-Ann will guide you to move your groove in a funky, fun, music filled workout. If you can move your feet – you can do Nia. No dance experience necessary!
Massage – Therapist TBA
Enjoy a 30 minute relaxation massage of your shoulders, neck and upper back. If you really want to spoil yourself, upgrade to a full hour massage when booking your retreat.

Adele Folliott, BPE, RecT, AFLCA - Fitness Instructor
Jo-Ann Rutherford - Nia Green Belt Instructor
After close to ten bi-annual vacations in the Bow Valley to ski and hike, Jo-Ann and her husband made Canmore their home 8 years ago. Discovering her own inner dancer through Nia classes in Toronto, she went on to train as an instructor. With a background in nursing and massage therapy, Jo-Ann is very comfortable being with and inspiring people of all ages to move. When not teaching dance, Jo-Ann has a small massage therapy practise and works casually at the Canmore Hospital.
Adrienne Lawlor
Adrienne is a mother of two and pediatric occupational therapist who lives, works and plays in the Bow Valley for the past 10 years. Adrienne thrives in the outdoors, enjoying hiking, cycling, and running. She is rejuvenated by getting messy with her kids, and doing other fun things like yoga, taking photos, dancing, celebrating relationships and sharing yummy food. Adrienne, along with her daughter, Maya, is thrilled to combine her passions for nature, social responsibility and artistic endeavors by participating in Chix in the Stix alongside adventurous women!
